Round two

Well its round two for me here in Rexburg. I survived the first year and I am here again for another round. I didn't actually take much of a break seeing that I was here all year round last year. And thats the plan again for this semester. So this is an incredibly lame post but I had to post something right....?

I pitty da fool

April fools day, the day where you can actually prank people and have an excuse.  Well I can say that I successfully made it through the day with not one prank pulled on me.  I started out the day with some unsuccessful attempts, like setting my roommates alarm clocks for odd hours of the morning but they saw that they had been reset so that didn't work.  I then turned Stephanie (my dear older cousin) I turned her milk green because she is very passionate about her milk.  And she did not even notice until halfway through the day after someone pointed it out!  So after a couple failed attempts, I was still adamant about pulling pranks.  So Shantelle, another unsuspecting roommate, keeps her water bottle in the fridge, so I squirted a lot of lemon juice into it so she could have a lemony surprise the next time she drank out of it.   That one worked.  Then we pulled a prank proposal on Shantelle too!  We set up a little trail with notes and then placed a ring box in her unsuspecting boyfriend Joe's apartment.  It would have worked so perfectly if it hadn't been for Joe being in the shower when Shantelle got there.  And it didn't help that Nate was caught hiding in Joe's apartment.  But anyways, the day continues, and I put salt in Shantelles newly cleaned water bottle as well as filled the cup that she keeps her tooth brush in with water and froze it so she could not get her tooth brush out.  We also but yellow food dye in the back of a toilet so every time it was flushed, it still looked like it needed to be flushed.  Yes, there were some more pranks scattered throughout the day but if I told you, well that could give me away.  But it was a highly successful day and next year, all i'll have to remember is to plan ahead.  Now, back to finishing up the semester!

a good thing

Well, really, this is a new experience for me, blogging that is.  I do believe that I have even set one up before, I have just forgotten all the information.  My initial reason for start this blog is to keep in touch with a dear friend on mine.  She has leukemia and the hospital she is at does not have facebook.  Ha, who would have thought?! But as I was setting this up, I thought it would be a good thing to have to keep others updated on my own life.  Plus, I'm sure my mom will love reading it :)  So all in all, there are no promises on how often I will be able to update this, life does get busy,  but I think that it will be a good thing to be able to keep in touch with those that I love who are so far away.
